This agatized chrysoprase cabochon stopped me in my tracks with its dreamy swirls of green—soft, misty, vivid, and a little bit spellbound. I wrapped it in patinated copper and gave the back its own graceful flourish, because a stone this lovely deserved a proper frame from every angle, not just its “company face.”
The front is rich and quietly dramatic, while the back carries an elegant, tree-like design that feels a little like roots, a little like branches, and very much like the sort of thing a forest witch would approve of. In other words: not a shabby fate for a rock.
The pendant measures 2.5" x 1.25" (approximately 6.4 x 3.2 cm) and hangs from a 20" faceted copper ball chain (approximately 50.8 cm). The copper has been patinated for added depth and character, giving the whole piece that moody, earthy finish I can never resist.
Agatized chrysoprase is often associated with emotional balance, renewal, heart-healing energy, and grounded optimism. It has that rare knack for feeling both soothing and quietly powerful—like a deep breath with a backbone.

This piece was hand wrapped in copper and finished with a patina to bring out all the lovely depth in the weave and wirework. I wanted the setting to feel substantial and protective without overpowering the stone itself.
No glue. No shortcuts. No factory nonsense.
Just stone, copper, hand tools, and me trying to behave while making something enchanted.
As always, copper will continue to age and deepen beautifully over time, becoming even richer with wear.
