I shaped this closed bangle from reclaimed copper, allowing two warm strands to travel together before meeting in a sculptural joining point. Nestled within the copper is a polished amethyst bead, held like a tiny violet watch-stone guarding the threshold.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness and quiet clarity. Paired with copper—long viewed as a conductor of energy and connection—this bangle becomes a simple talisman for listening beyond the noise and trusting the wisdom already within you.
The bangle measures approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter. Because it is a fixed, closed design with no clasp, it must slide over the widest part of the hand. Please compare the measurement with a closed bangle that already fits comfortably.

Because this is a closed bangle, please check the 3-inch diameter against a bangle that already slides comfortably over your hand.
I protected the hand-applied patina with Renaissance Wax, a microcrystalline wax developed for museum conservation in London. I use it because it offers the least obtrusive protection while allowing the copper to remain copper. The wax will gradually wear away with time and handling, and the metal will continue developing its own living finish.
Natural variations in the gemstone and handmade wirework are part of this piece’s character—not flaws, but evidence of its one-of-a-kind story.
