This naturally banded Black Agate was shaped over countless tides along the shores of the Bay of Fundy before I wrapped it entirely by hand in reclaimed copper as part of my Mermaid Tail Collection.

Its dark flowing bands echo moonlit waves and hidden coves, making this talisman feel both grounding and quietly mysterious. Every curve of copper is shaped without glue or shortcuts, allowing the stone to remain the true heart of the piece.

Like every Mother of Metal creation, this necklace is one of a kind. Once it finds its person, another exactly like it can never be made.

I handcrafted this Mermaid Tail necklace using reclaimed copper wrapped around a naturally weathered Bay of Fundy Black Agate. Each stone I gather has been shaped by the world's highest tides before becoming part of a wearable story. The bare copper will develop its own rich patina over time, creating a piece that continues to evolve alongside its wearer.

Why Coppper?

Copper, the metal of the magician, is believed to amplify the energy of the stones it accompanies while supporting grounding, connection, and energy flow. In my work, the heavier gauges of copper are often reclaimed from castaway wiring, giving new life to old materials and supporting my eco-friendly mission: Jewellery with a RE-purpose!
