Soft, luminous green chrysoprase meets the warm glow of reclaimed copper in this one-of-a-kind talisman of renewal and heart-centered energy.

This natural chrysoprase carries the gentle colour of new leaves and springtime growth — a stone long associated with emotional healing, compassion, and fresh beginnings. Its soothing energy is believed to help release old patterns and invite joy, optimism, and trust back into the heart.

The stone is cradled in hand-woven reclaimed copper, shaped slowly and intentionally to follow the natural form of the gem. A small spiral detail anchors the design, symbolizing growth, evolution, and the beautiful unfolding of life’s journey.

Mother of Metal jewellery is handcrafted in New Brunswick, Canada using reclaimed copper and houghtfully sourced gemstones from around the world. Each piece is created with intention as wearable art and a personal talisman.

Chrysoprase was Cleopatra’s favourite gemstone. She supposedly carried it as a talisman for vitality and protection.

Why Copper?

Copper is the great conductor and the metal of the magician. It amplifies the energies of the stones it accompanies. It is excellent for channelling and grounding and, thus, is considered the conduit between heaven and earth. Copper has long been used to aid tissue repair, blood support, and increase vitality. The larger gauges of copper used in my pieces have been reclaimed from castaway wiring, supporting my eco-friendly mission: "Jewelry with a re-purpose!".
