Every mark tells a story.

These rustic dangle earrings were created from a reclaimed leather belt, carefully cut and transformed into lightweight talismans. Each piece was free-hand burned with a soldering iron, allowing the swirling design to emerge organically—like a small spiral of energy captured in leather.

Suspended from warm copper rings and finished with surgical steel ear wires, the contrast of natural materials and earthy textures gives these earrings a beautifully grounded feel.

In the Mother of Metal studio, reclaimed materials are never just scraps—they’re raw ingredients for transformation. What was once a forgotten belt now lives on as wearable art, carrying a story of renewal and creative rebirth.

Copper, the metal of the magician, is believed to amplify the energy of the stones it accompanies while supporting grounding, connection, and energy flow. In my work, the heavier gauges of copper are often reclaimed from castaway wiring, giving new life to old materials and supporting my eco-friendly mission: Jewellery with a RE-purpose!
