This substantial piece of raw rose quartz arrives with its crystalline ridges, rugged edges and ancient history fully intact. I wrapped it in strong, flowing lines of reclaimed copper, creating a bold one-of-a-kind ring for the tender heart that has learned how to protect itself.

Rose quartz is traditionally associated with love, compassion and emotional openness—but softness is not the same as fragility. In its raw form, this stone tells an older, wilder story: the heart may be gentle and still have teeth. It may remain open without surrendering its boundaries.

Three copper paths cross the face of the crystal like protective wards, following the natural terrain rather than concealing it. They hold the stone securely while leaving its texture, shape and pale pink translucence visible.

This is not a dainty ring. It is a chunky piece of wearable art—a small shield for the hand and a talisman for courageous tenderness.

The stone lived its first story deep within the Earth. The copper lived another life before reaching my workbench. Here, their paths cross and the next chapter begins.

Rose quartz is traditionally associated with love, tenderness and an open heart. In its raw form, that gentle energy feels more ancient and untamed—a reminder that real love is not always smooth, delicate or uncomplicated.
This stone carries the energy of courageous tenderness: the ability to remain compassionate without becoming defenceless, to love without disappearing and to honour the heart without handing it over unguarded.

MoM Notes

I didn’t want to domesticate this stone. Its rugged size and crystalline texture called for strong, simple lines that would secure it without stealing its thunder.
Three copper paths cross the rose quartz like protective wards. They follow its natural terrain, creating a setting that feels less like a cage and more like armour made specifically for the stone.
Because this is a large raw crystal with natural edges, I consider it wearable art. Give it thoughtful care around delicate fabrics, pockets and other snag-prone places. It has presence, and apparently no interest whatsoever in pretending otherwise.
The reclaimed copper is left bright and unsealed. It will naturally deepen with time, recording the life of the piece and the hand that wears it. Copper may leave a temporary green mark on some skin—perfectly normal, harmless and simply part of copper’s nature.
