This stunning red jasper mermaid tail necklace features a Bay of Fundy stone hand gathered from the shore and carefully tumbled by the artist before being wrapped in reclaimed copper. Chosen for its natural shape and ocean-worn beauty, this piece celebrates the meeting of sea and stone, shaped by tide, time, and intention.

The pendant measures 3″ tall with a 2″ tail span and hangs from a 22″ copper ball chain. It has been hand-patinated and sealed for longevity, allowing the warm tones of the copper and stone to deepen beautifully with wear. Each mermaid tail is completely one of a kind—no two Bay of Fundy stones are ever the same.

Why Coppper?

Copper is the great conductor and the metal of the magician. It amplifies the energies of the stones it accompanies. It is excellent for channelling and grounding and, thus, is considered the conduit between heaven and earth. Copper has long been used to aid tissue repair, blood support, and increase vitality. The larger gauges of copper used in my pieces have been reclaimed from castaway wiring, supporting my eco-friendly mission: "Jewelry with a re-purpose!".
