Hematite is traditionally associated with grounding scattered energy, strengthening focus and maintaining a steady connection to the physical world.
Its iron-rich nature has also made hematite a longstanding symbol of protection, courage and resilience. Rather than shouting for attention, its energy is often imagined as quiet ballast—the weight that helps you remain centred when everything else is moving.
The glittering surface of specular hematite adds another layer of symbolism: light concealed within darkness, clarity revealed through movement and the reminder that grounded does not have to mean dull.

The silvery sparkle across this stone is completely natural—there is no glitter, paint or surface coating involved. Its reflective flecks may appear stronger or softer depending on the angle and lighting, making the pendant far more animated in person than a still photograph can fully capture.
Both faces are completely finished and may be worn outward. I use no glue; the hematite is held securely by its handwoven copper framework.
The copper is raw, unpatinated and unsealed. It will gradually deepen in colour as it reacts with air, moisture and touch, creating a living finish unique to its keeper. Raw copper may occasionally leave a temporary green mark on the skin, particularly in warm or humid conditions.
Avoid prolonged soaking, chemical cleaners and hard impacts. If brighter copper is preferred, polish it gently with a jewellery cloth.

It is excellent for channelling and grounding and, thus, is considered the conduit between heaven and earth. Copper has long been used to aid tissue repair, blood support, and increase vitality. The larger gauges of copper used in my pieces have been reclaimed from castaway wiring, supporting my eco-friendly mission: "Jewelry with a re-purpose!".
