Some sunlight arrives gently. Sunforged came prepared to make an entrance.

At the centre rests a raw citrine point with an icy, inclusion-rich body and a concentrated pool of honey gold at its tip. I left its natural surface and irregular shape fully visible, building the copper around what the crystal already chose to become.

The stone is cradled inside an open sculptural frame of sweeping lines, spirals and dense coilwork. I hammered the copper to add strength, texture and small flashes of reflected light, then applied a deep patina that settles beautifully into every mark. The result is equal parts wild crystal and carefully controlled metalwork.

Citrine is traditionally associated with confidence, optimism, creativity and abundance. The raw point adds symbolism of direction and focused intention, while the hammer marks speak of something shaped through pressure without losing its essential nature.

Sunforged is a talisman for remembering that strength and brightness are not opposites. Sometimes the light becomes more interesting after it has met the hammer.

The pendant measures approximately 2.25 inches long by 1.25 inches wide (5.7 × 3.2 cm) and hangs from a 20-inch faceted copper ball chain.

Made once, because this particular story can only happen once.

Stone Energy

Citrine is traditionally associated with optimism, confidence, creativity and abundance. Its bright energy encourages purposeful action—the kind that turns a hopeful idea into something with roots, edges and a plan.
The raw point carries an added sense of direction, focusing the stone’s symbolism toward clear intentions and forward movement.

MoM Notes

This citrine point retains its natural surface, inclusions and irregular shape. These features are part of the crystal’s formation and individual character, not damage or manufacturing flaws.
The hammer marks are deliberate. They strengthen the framework, catch the light and provide tiny landscapes where the patina can settle.
I protected the patinated copper with Renaissance Wax, a microcrystalline wax developed for museum conservation in London. I choose it because it provides the least obtrusive protection while allowing copper to remain copper. The wax will gradually wear away, and the metal will continue developing its own living finish.
